10 Stages of Korean Style Makeup for Beginners

Makeup is important for every woman. Starting from eyebrow pencils to lipsticks, every woman has several products that can make her appearance more complete and attractive. This time, Bazaar will provide tips on how to get a Korean makeup look like Korean celebrities and women, but still match the skin color of Indonesian women.

  1. Moisturizing
Before you apply foundation or something like that, moisturizer is an important thing that must be used so that the foundation you use blends perfectly with facial skin. If you have dry skin, it’s best to use a moisturizer first so that the makeup sticks better.
  2. BB Cushion
Currently, Korea is one of the trendsetters in various ways, including in matters of makeup products. BB cushion is one of the trends originating from the Land of Ginseng. For a makeup look that isn’t too heavy or thick, apply BB cream instead of foundation. Use a sponge by gently patting it so that it absorbs into the skin. If you want to add coverage, apply it again with the same movement.
  3. Concealers
Next, apply concealer to dark areas such as under your eyes, on your eyelids, in the creases of your nose, or on the edges of your lips to produce thin lips. Also, make sure the concealer you use matches the color of the BB cushion.
  4. Loose Powder
To complete the makeup base it’s time to use powder on the face. Apply loose powder under the eyes which functions to keep the skin from getting oily, also apply it to areas that are often oily like the t-zone.
  5. Eyebrows
The makeup look is certainly not complete if the eyebrows are not perfectly formed. Apply an eyebrow pencil according to your hair color, then shape your eyebrows according to your face shape. In general, the appearance of Korean eyebrows is straight, but if you are not used to it, shape your eyebrows as usual.
  6. Eyeshadows
After the eyebrows, apply a dark brown eyeshadow all over the lid and then apply a maroon color to the outer corner of your eye. After that, choose a golden glitter eyeshadow and apply it to the center of the lid. The last step, choose a beige glitter eyeshadow and apply it to the waterline under the eyes to display an aegyo look in Korean terms so that the eyes look more feminine and younger.
  7. Eyeliner
One makeup product that cannot be left behind is eyeliner. To make the eyes look livelier, apply eyeliner from the middle to the tip or make cat eyes to create the impression that the eyes look long and beautiful.
  8. Blush
If every time you see a Korean-style makeup style it always displays rosy cheeks that look natural, now is the time for you to try it. Apply cream blush on the cheeks, then blend using a puff or hands for a more natural result.
  9. Contours and Highlighters
After applying blush, create contours on the cheekbones, jawline, and forehead to make the face appear thinner and more defined. After that, add a highlighter to show a natural glow effect on the cheeks.
  10. Lipstick
The last step, apply ombre lips on the lips. You can use a nude pink lipstick as a base, plus a dark red lipstick in the middle to get the ombre result.
